I'm making a new rudder for my c-lion. It's in flat water mostly. What would be the best shape and length? The blank is 12x7 with rudder post at front. I'm not a great wood worker so simple would be better =)

Maybe 7 or 8 inches and looks like a dorsal fin of a killer whale or shark. weedless rudder shape would work. just saying
