Call Kea too at 3865327 if you are on Oahu and want to demo the maui built extended XM or XS. Surfline-Lifestyle store has the CHina XM which has had the longer extended cockpit for a few years and the XS- these latest canoes are extremely light and stiff- Hanale says he has only a few left. Kea, Pat Dolan, Jim Foti and Hanale at Surfline as well as the guys at Is. Paddler can answer most questions about custom or CHina built Kai Waa canoes. Have fun! Next China shipment arrives in December just in time for XMAS.

isnt original extended footwell boat the viper XL, and not the Scorpius?

I have just learned today that the Viper XL had added rocker and volume to prevent pearling (sp?). Then the Extended Footwell Peuo came out. The Extended Footwell Scorpius was the next canoe to use this method. My excitement was unfounded. I now understand paddlefast meant that Danny paddles the Peuo in his races. Sorry!
I am very excited to try all these longer canoes in California. I have just emailed the rep for the Scorpius. I will try to find Danny as well. Thank you for the advice!

I'm 5' 11" /180 lbs. What am I missing in performance?

I watched Biggie Lara put on a OC-1 surfing show this morning in Kahului Harbor with his new Scorpius XM extended footwell.Mahalo for the show Biggie,you rip!!! I am going over to Kai Wa'a and putting in my order!!!

it was the one on oahu the extended footwell, loved every second on the water with that boat. By far the most comfortable boat out there.
