Because the Cook Islands' paddling scene is currently 50/50 oc1/rudderless there were three divisions incl surf ski, V1 however only rudderless paddlers are eligible for cash prizes and the trip to tahiti for the Te Aito there!
Next year there will be many more switching to rudderless...
I saw a Hurricane in the race. Did it or didn't it have a rudder?

Looked like one of the Hurricanes had a piece of rubber wrapped around the steering T, locking it in place.
