I'm trying to get my OC-1 insured, but I'm being told that I need the HIN. I don't have of the sale paperwork because I got it used and I'm the 3rd/4th owner. Where do I have to look to find the HIN?? It's a 2001 Kaku Elua.
If anyone can help me with this, it would be great.

On some of the boats I've owned it's been near the back, near the seam. It was put on the hull with an engraving pen, so it was real hard to see. Good luck.

I was able to insure my OC-1 without a hull number. Sent pictures and invoice. I used State Farm. It may depend on the agent's ability to work with you. I had no problem.

Get an engraving tool and put your own number on.
