Aloha
I need to make a couple of seats for a club/training OC2 that I managed to pick up very cheap. It's a HYPR therefore not being manufactured anymore. Anyone tell me what the seats are actually made of please ? Many thanks. '

You have no idea of the can of worms you've opened by mentioning "HYPR".
That said, seats are made of "microcell foam", easily found online, and easy to shape.

Raw material ... http://www.foambymail.com/
Premade and adaptable... http://store.kamanucomposites.com/products/adjustable-pueo-seat
Make sure they come off EZ for paddler flotation/survival when boat folds in half.

Mahalo, Very grateful. And I did read all the stuff I could about HYPR before doing anything - amazing how far back the www goes!
We just needed some club training boats for shallow Long Island Sound paddling to make training sessions easier. Picked up 2 x OC1's that hadn;t been in the water for $500 each and an OC2 for $1,000 - I will be reinforcing them suitably. The paddles I got with them were brand new so pretty happy with that.

I think either Kai Waa for a couple of short seats or OZONE (Tempest seats)- go to their websites.

Flipping channels last week I swear I saw a Hawaii edition of that show Duck Dynasty.... and the guy demonstrating Sups was Mr Hyper himself!
Seat Foam Blanks can be bought from Jude at Huki as well.
