I am looking to get an OC2 that is extremely good in flat waters and defends itself in the open ocean with middle size waves.
What is better for me? Take in consideration that this is my first ever oc2 and i can only choose from these two oc2.

Both good boats. Neither extremely fast in the flats. Huki is but not great in the surf IMO. Both great in surf. If you can look at others then look at the new "22" by Karel at Outrigger connection. Sounds like it may be what you are looking for. I have one on order.

Hey, my knowledge is limited but I've used the tempest a bunch, and so far it's the fastest OC2 I have ever been on in the surf. Wave blade OC2 is fast in the surf as well. I have no clue what's better in the flats.
What's the "22"? A new oc2? By karel?

Around 4K like the other OC-2's made in China. Karel is accepting preorders for second run. The first batch sold instantly. Even sold his demo. I would say it is a better all around boat. If you have two guys over 190 pounds you might be better with a Stingray or Tempest in the surf due to more volume.
