Super Aito 2013

Has anyone seen or heard of the results from Super Aito 2013? I heard that there may have been a couple Hawaiian entries...not sure if that was true. Would love to find out how they did, or if I had false info.

Much mahalos

Full results attached with no Hawaiian finishers. The original list of entries for Super Aito showed three Hawaii paddlers entering. Maybe the trip got cancelled?

I'm curious about what actions a paddler does in the Super Aito to earn time penalty? Drafting?

In 2007 they assessed a handful of time penalties for late registration. Before the race, one of the guys (I forget who) getting the penalties publicly destroyed his canoe at the start of the race. He threw it against the ground and proceeded to rip it apart with his hands... It was all over the news that day, and they assessed a cash penalty instead. So, I think we can safely assume that there were no penalties assessed for late registration.

Sorry for the non-answer.

Wow... You'd think that with a race of this magnitude that you'd want to register early to avoid any problems, but maybe that's just me.

As to the ripping apart of the canoe, Luke, I don't think I could have ripped apart my Aukahi if I would have tried. That thing was bulletproof!

Its just amazing that only 6min seperated the top 100 on day 1 the sprint. I dont think you could get that anywhere else in the universe. Congrates to Tupu from NZ for finishing 68th. Legend!!!
