OK, just move to Oahu and looking at yaks. Problem is not able to find a storage area to put it when not in use. Anyone have a suggestion?

You are going to have a hard time finding a place suitable for your yak on Oahu. Your best bet would probably be on top of Mauna Kea.

If you're living in town Hawaii Self Storage and a few other storage places have OC1 and kayak storage slots. Usually around $35 a month but it's worth it if no more place to keep your boat. When I stored there it was $35 and you have 24hr access to the boat. Goodluck
