OC1 For Big Paddlers?

I wanted to know if anyone out there has any good advise about what OC1 canoe would be good for larger paddlers? I am 6'3" tall and approx 225lbs. I have been looking at several canoes, the Scorpius XM or Scorpius with extended foot well. I also like the Fusion, great looking canoe, or the Torrent. Does anyone have any experience with these canoes in relation with the big paddler? Also, I will be in Southern California waters, something that would do well in Cali. I'm looking to purchase soon.

Let me know your thoughts when you get a chance, would appreciate it! Have a great day!!

I can help you with demo on an Extended footwell Scorpius, I have had by far the best experience purchasing, racing, surfing this boat. It is the most comfortable and durable canoe that I have owned.

I live in Long Beach, and have the boat stored at Kahakai OCC.
let me know how I can help,

John

I'm in your size range and Huki has a nice boat for us....v-1r. It's real nice in both bumps and flat. I don't race a lot but surf often and it's a great boat, Jude will work with you and built you the goods!

The Storm is a great boat for long paddlers. I am 6'5 and 200 and it fits me great. Check it out.

If your looking at used canoes I have a Zypher made by outrigger connection I am 6'2'' 225 and that is a great big man boat. I would tell you make sure it is Hawaiian Built not the California boats those have given problems with the seam blistering.

Hey TI, yes I sold my Kaimana last week to someone in San Francisco. I'm storing it at my place until he can get down here.
