Does anybody know what's going on at Pure Canoes? I tried calling and emailing but, no returns to both... Are they still around? Their Facebook page hasn't been updated either.

Hi,
They should be... I spoke to Odie about 2 1/2 weeks ago about my V1R. It should be finished by now and I'll give him a call tomorrow.

Odie contacted me via Facebook and said that they were in Tahiti. Not sure about your V1R being finished... Sorry! Good Luck and let me know how you like your V1R when it arrives.

I'm curious about that V1R. Is there an advantage vs just a normal ruddered oc1?

V1R gives you the ability to pull the rudder out and use it like a traditional V1 or throwing the rudder in for more control in the bump. Great concept would love to try one.

Oh well... those guys work really hard! They deserve a break. Still standing in soup line. Lol...

So, the rudder has foot pedals like an OC-1? It looks like it picks up the tiniest of bumps. So much less volume in the nose....tough to handle in big surf? Would love to hear any insight.
Thanks,
