Hey December, do you get much downwind paddling in near Singapore? I lived there in the late 80s early 90s, and remember great conditions during the NE monsoon (Dec through Feb). Alas, there were no outriggers or surfskis in Singapore back then, so I had to make do in sit inside kayaks to get a paddle in.
I was always thinking paddling from Pulau Tioman to Mersing in Malaysia would be pretty good with the northeast winds kicking in, or even a shorter run from Rawa to Mersing.

Hey Alipp, not much. Yes, from Dec to Feb it is quite nice because of the NE monsoon. Only this year from May until now there has been SE winds only in the afternoons, but not promising at all. But sometimes it is Fun.
I paddled with Singapore Paddle Club. Yes , now we have outriggers, surfski over here. Check us out. Drop by whenever you are passing by. Do you still paddle? Which club?
