This is the second thread i've seen on getting sand out of a hull. I need to ask how this sand is getting in there?
My suggestion would be to try to flush the hull with the hose. I would go with maybe 4 or so cups of water at a time. put in the water , slosh it around, then pour out. Do this about a million times until no sand comes out. Another thing i do , since i have older canoes that I am constantly repairing leaks, is every once in a while i'll flush the canoe 5 or 10 times, then taste the water to make sure it's not salty. Not sure if it does any good, but i figure it can't hurt.
I'd love to hear if any of this is good advice.
