Swapping Hurricane seat for newer one

Hi All,
Has anyone ever attempted to remove the older Hurricane seat with the rails and swap the newer foam seat that is velcro'ed in? Curious how easy it was and where I can order the parts from to do this. I'm on the East Coast. Thanks!

Check with william dion from outrigger zone he is in south carolina charleston. Where are you at also the tempest seat is very universal and comfortable and velcro is built in the seat. All you have to do is get vecro and put it on your hurricane boat. Any questions hit me up. aloha

Did you swap out our older Hurricane seat? If so, how'd it go? I'm thinking of doing the same but the new seats come to aprox $175 Cdn - ouch - so I want to be sure the upgrade is worthwhile and easy to do.

Did mine a few weeks ago, stupid easy. Unscrew the old seat track, contact cement for the Velcro strip. Done. I picked up a couple of ss cap screws for the exposed holes. Infinitely more comfy. Enjoy!
