Hi,
Can anyone pse help me out in purchasing a moulded / already shaped foam seat for my OC1. The current seat I hve is poor, and I need something fairly urgently. I friend was in hawaii recently and came back to NZ with one - she cannot remember the details of where she got it from. It looks very like a polaries seat, so something similar would be better than what I have. The long runs are starting to get sore. I believe it was an 'off the shelf' purcahse. any assistance would be appreciated, thanks.

Aloha,
Check out Leeward Kai Canoe club Go to buy and sell, you will see a molded foam seat. Howard is the man he made me a seat and I have a Kolea fixed foam system. Howard is the man he can make any seat.

Hi
check out John Martins Canoe website. I lost my seat on the road and he had replacements for my Nai'a. The seat is relatively flat on the bottom. I don't know if that will work for you, but the foam is definitely modifiable (electric kitchen knife works wonders)
good luck

Since you are having a hard time finding a seat, why don't you put one together for now. Find a couple pieces of foam from a store in NZ and glue them together with contact cement. Then you can shape it to your canoe. I used the contact cement to fix my foam seat, and it's holding up fine. Hope this helps.
