Just for paddlers out there who tend to befriend and trust other new paddlers easily, I would like to post this information just to forewarn you of a particular person who is new to your scene out there. He is from another state, but now resides in the Northern mountainous region of CA. I will not give you his name for obvious reasons, just remember to pay attention to any new male paddlers you meet, because his is unusual. I would just like to at least try to help others avoid being used or hurt by this person who seems to have no regard for the trusting, giving, and sincere type of people who tend to make up the world of paddling. He has only been kayaking a few years, but has become a decent Class IV boater, and is starting to attempt some V stuff. He is trying to run it all and is pretty self-centered on achieving this. Please do not rely on this person for safety back up or advice on Rivers. His focus is only on himself, and his charm will convince you otherwise. You can make your own judgements, but I have been in this business over 20 + years and hate to see any other real and trusting people out there get hurt by him, either mentally or physically.
