I'm looking for a OC1 cradle. I hate once you've got the boat off and you're getting ready to go out setting it on the grass or sand. I want something that will keep the rudder off the ground and let me put it together and take it apart without beating it up. I was thinking of those old camping chairs - they folded and had one piece of canvas going across. Anyone have any suggestions? Great race this last weekend - Bruno LD on Kauai. Had a lot of fun pounding through the waves - and Happy B-Day Annette from Koloa! 8)

Used luggage stands work great. Whenever a hotel is changing its room decor, I look to see if I can pick up a couple of sets of the foldable luggage stands from the closets. Alternatively, Polynesian Paddling Products (www.p3kona.com) carries foldable stands (kanoorax) you can buy made out of PVC. I think they are like $30. I have a set and they work great too.

you can buy the parts and put together your own PVC cradles for real cheap...I've seen a few people who did it. Mine ended up costing about 8 bucks.
