why didn't the gps tracking work?

i was looking at it the whole day and it never showed anything. i was wondering if it was my computer or did everyone else not see anything

I think whoever was doing it must of had technical difficulties cause it never worked for me either. If I see that the data is published later I'll be sure to post it, but for now I took down the link... sorry to get your hopes up, I clicked on it a lot too. :P

i was told that someone thinks its cause no one from those top teams turned it on because they don't want anyone to know there course. and if you think about it if you were number 1 wouldn't you wanna keep your course a secret. but thats just a suggestion to why it never worked.

That is simply ridiculous that "the lead boats didn't want to give away their line." I was among the lead boats and the last thing on anyone's mind is to keep our line a secret. I was bummed that my family couldn't follow the race from home before heading down to the finish. Maybe by the men's Molos they will have figured it out. Better luck next time.

I was in one of the boats with a GPS, too, (though NOT the lead one!!) and it definitely was not an issue of not turning it on. We were all bummed, too, that our families couldn't watch our journey across the Channel!

Don't know for sure but I heard a rumor. It will be cool to track the race.
