Hong Kong Island Paddle Club is a competitive paddle club that races dragon boats and outrigger canoes. It has been in existence since 1993 and was the first club to welcome outrigger canoes to Hong Kong. Since then, it has grown significantly in size and now boasts a membership near 80 people. The “paddling year” for HKIPC involves paddling and racing dragon boats from January to June and then outrigger canoes from June to December.
