Surfa, how would you compare the fuze to a hurricane? Have you experience on a hurricane? I"m looking to purchase a fuze and am interested in any feedback from paddlers who have compared both these fine canoes.

Cheers Rambo

I currently paddle a fuze and its not tippy at all for me but it is as you would say" balanced" meaning when I paddle on the right the ama pops up alittle but not to the point that I'm going to flip. You want your boat balanced and light on the ama to reduce any drag. You probably need to get use to how the fuze is balanced. Every boat has a different feel to it. What did you paddle before? It may seem tippier if you were paddling a boat that had more weight out on the ama. I do alot of Makapuu run and it gets pretty rough and it works fine in those conditions. It's an awesome surfing boat. I think you'll be fine. You just need to put some time in fuze and get to know it's tendencies.

I found the Fuze to be tippy when I first got it, but after a couple weeks I really learned to appreciate it's balance. It is a great all around boat and is very good in the surf. I like the control I get from the high sides. You feel like you are sitting in it instead of on it. Keep paddling it in the rough stuff and you will learn to love it.

Sorry Rambo, never paddled a Hurricane, but I do love my Fuze.
