Tahitian Canoes v. Hawaiian Canoes

The photos posted on the front page got me thinking about the differences between the Tahitian OC6 canoes and the Hawaiian OC6 canoes. The iako to canoe attachment points are one obvious difference as is the shape of the nose. Has anybody paddled in both and can note the difference between the two in terms of hull shape, length, width, rocker, etc. and how both boats handle?

Tahitian canoes are deep "V" shape hulls with little rocker and lower in the water, so you need aprox 2' shorter paddle. They glide beautifully in flat water and cut thru rather than go over waves.
