Hamilton Cup Media & TV Coverage

Hi All,

We are expecting a huge media contingent at this years Coca-Cola Hamilton
Cup. Aussie paddlers especially, let you friends and family know that
Channel 7's Sunrise breakfast show will be doing 2 live crosses from the
island on Monday morning televising the start of the 42km marathon live
nation wide!!!

We also have a camera crew from Coast to Coast (Channel 7) doing a couple of
stories on the event.

Channel 7 Mackay will be here to cover the event.

Benny Pike will have his own TV crew here.

One of the Tahitain teams is bringing 2 camera crews and 2 radio crews to
cover the participation of Tahiti at the event.

FHM Magazine will be on island to do a feature article of the event for
their mag.

There will also be a host of journalists and photographer here to cover the
event for the print media like Courier Mail, Sunday Mail, Gold Coast
Bulletin, Sunshine Coast Daily, Surf Lifesaver and Steve West's Kanu
Culture.

So look your best cos at some stage over the weekend there is going to be a
camera pointed at you!!!

Glen McGrath, fresh from the Aussies victorious tour of the Windies will be
here over the weekend. Ooooh Aaaah!

One last bit of trivia. There will be 130 OC1's on the start line for the
8km OC1 marathon! This will be the most outrigger canoes to ever start at
the same time in Australia!!!!!

I don't think it will be live in Hawaii.. I'll try and find out, maybe there will be some espn coverage later on.
