waterproof case for ipod

just a bit of info for anyone interested. i recently bought a waterproof case and headset for my ipod, used it a few times, worked out real nice. That is until the day i had huli and the locking clip came off and my nano drowned. A good rubberband would probaby have been enough to keep it secure. Just thought i'd share this..........aloha

I saw one at REI the other day that looked pretty good. I need to find some waterproof earbuds though.

hey,

we are the Australian distributor for THE best waterproof Ipod cases and waterproof headphones.
Watch out for Laine Beachley, 7 time world surfing champion and Grant Hackett, 1500 metre olympic and world champ swimmer gracing your magazines wearing these great cases and ear phones.

They are guaranteed to be waterproof at 3 metres for 1 hour and are pretty funky!

Contact Brad Gaines from Paddleme for info if you are in the USA or us in the Sth Pacific, Australia or Europe.

If you want the best go to http://www.h2oaudio.com/

These are actually built for surfers, so they're designed for rougher conditions.

FYI - they use the technology orginally desinged for waterproof housing for the camera's used for surf photography.

Hi these are the ones we mentioned. They are available from Forum sponsor Brad Gaines at PaddleMe sportswear in the USA or us in Australia the above website address.
Having personally used one of these they are great and make a boring oneman session slightly more interesting!
Wish these had been around when I was swimming. Could have listened to music instead of counting tiles on the bottom of the pool though!

I purchased a iPod waterproof case from a company called http://www.otterbox.com One of the best products for my little Nano. I find it great for when Im paddling out alone listening to my favorite tunes.

Instead of purchasing high priced water proof headphones I just get mine from Walmart for 5 bucks and Ive huli'd, swam under my boat and climbed on, shook the water off the headphones and carried on paddling with no damage to them. After many dips in the water they do get a little muffled so I just trash them and buy more.

The H2o Audio is great...waterproof earpiece , super tight lock up...
it is so efficient I worry about having a Coast Guard Cutter run me down from behind....it is that quiet in that headset

The H20 case works great! However, I would suggest buying it (along with the earphones) from www.computerbrain.com -This site offers the nano case w/armband for $44.84 as opposed to 79.99 from H20. The earphones are $24 compared to $40. Most importantly, If you live in Hawaii, Computerbrain doesn't kill you on the shipping like H20 audio does. They offer different methods of shipment and I received mine in 2 days.
