Experamental Ama

Hi Gents, has anyone tried different Amas on a Hurricane. I know it’s obviously tricky to do with the unique iako attachments, but i’m thinking how an Ama like the one on the Fuze might perform on a Hurricane, as the Fuze Ama has a very gentle “release” from the water similar to a “Puffy Ama” on an OC6 Mirage and tends to slap rather than cut the water surface when under way.

Any feedback or thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers Rambo

ARRH,

Trying to get an advantage on the soon to start OC1 season I see.
( IN OZ ) But an interesting concept too, If you had a tube bender and time you could have some fun.

Good idea, I am sure there are some Yachting people around that could also offer some interesting ideas.

Regards,

Koka

Is there anywhere in the world you cannot reach RAMBO. Bite the bullet, buy a second set of Hurricane iako’s, then with a tear in the eye, cut them up and join the ends to some aluminium pipe. Start bending till you get it right. A man who has time to paddle every day and sit on the computer every other minute of the day can obviously afford a second set of aiko’s!

I’s a small (Outrigging) World Clarkie. Very hard to extract info from the Hawaiians though. Us Aussies would share the same Hat. Haha.
