North East Outrigger dominated the 2003 7th Annual Liberty World Challenge taking first in Women's and Men's Open and the Sr. Masters divisions. Europe was well represented with a strong showing by France, Germany, and the UK. Washington D.C. won the mixed division with amazing stealth moves between pylons and under piers to snatch the gold away from New York Outrigger. The full race results will be posted shortly.

After 2-months of nonstop rain in New York the Liberty World Challenge ushered in the summer with sunny skies. A light chop hulied a few canoes though overall the conditions were merciful. Strong currents kept the race a navigational challenge. Sponsor Circle Line Statue of Liberty Ferry provided front-row seats to the public through out the afternoon. The first of the photography is in and looks amazing.
