I haven't heard of any clubs near Pahala/Na'alehu. Are there any? Would I have to go to Kona or Hilo to paddle with a club?

Sadly, you would have to travel to either Hilo or Honaunau (Keoua Canoe Club) for a canoe club. But if you have a one man you can put in at Punalu`u.

It is a bummer that there isn't any clubs to paddle for in Kau.
I've got family in Ka'u and the past times there is hunting, fishing, and R&R (that's the life!)
It would be great if there were people there willing to put in time and resources to start a club.
I'm sure there's enough people out there to make the club big and competitive!

Too bad. I'm contemplating moving to the area. For now, I've got my oc1. I've seen a canoe down at Punalu'u Beach. If I make the move, you can bet I'll ask around to see if there is interest.
