On a lighter...errrr, darker note

I consider myself an Oreo purist. What's up with all the damn flavors of Oreo's nowaday? Can't nabisco leave a good thing alone? Nothing beats the original Oreo with a tall cold glass of milk.

also from the Pukui-Elbert dictionary

ho'ohaole: to assume airs of superiority [often said disparagingly]

There are other meanings with blatantly racist overtones - something I would never condone on a public forum. Or in private, for that matter.

um... I thought he was talking about cookies. I'm more of an icecream for desert kind of person, but I'll never pass up some oreos and milk either.

Whoa, this is going way over my head. Am I being really dense, or wasn't the original post about cookies? Anyways, I'll take the cookie but I've hated milk since I was 5 or 6.

Keizo brings up an interesting point. Oreo cookie with milk, or oreo cookie ICE CREAM.

never thought of that.

Wow some people are really really really really really really really really really sensitive. Oreos are oreos are oreos. How did we get to racism? Sheezus.

Oreo cookie creamy shake from the spaghetti factory wins hands down. That damn thing probably has more calories and fat than the meal but that friggin thing id damn good.

Oh and leave the oreo cookie alone. Just the original oreo is best. Don't make stupid flavors, no oreo cereal, no minis, just oreos. JUST OREOS. JUST OREOS. Sheezus

POOPOO

Oh, sorry, we're talking about COOKIES!

My favourites are TimTams, the dark chocolate variety. Frosso, you'll like this.. Down here we bite the ends off and use them as a straw to suck up hot chocolate or milky tea. Then, just before they melt, pop them in your mouth. MMMmmmmmmmmm..................

Goto told me an oreo is someone who looks black(cookie) but acts white(creamy center). He didn't say if it was good or bad, though.

What about Oreos with Cookie Dough?

WOW!

#12 Wed, 11/29/2006 - 2:44pm

Deep fried!!!

mmmmm cookies...deep fried...cookie dough...DOUGH!

BTW what does THIS have to do with OC paddling?
(Besides cytomax/gatorade/oreo/hammer/powergel slurry camelbak?)
Its the ULTIMATE fuel.

Those sound awesome. Where would a Southern gal find TimTams because I've got to try them!

Oreos are great but I'm a chocolate chip gal when it comes to cookies. If we are not actually talking about cookies then I'm way out of my league.

HHaahh I don't know about the mainland US, but Tim Tams are not available on Maui and when i was there last (april this year) i took 5 kgs of TimTams to give to Rick NU'u and his wife Zoe as they both love them. Their fav way to eat them is also to suck coffee through them. I was only there for 10 days (from Australia) and before i left they had eaten them all. Guess they went through withdrawall after that.

Maybe this is the key to getting the best borrowed canoes when visiting Hawaii in the future. Haahhaa

Cheers Rambo

according to their website, you can buy TimTams (all varieties) at a shop in San Antonio. No doubt they'll ship them to you. Here's their link:

http://about-australia-shop.com/timtams.htm

But watch out, they're very addictive! start thinking about a higher-volume OC1 now.

Ah, the convenience of the modern world. The first ten years I was in Oz, my mother used to send me a kilo of peanut M&Ms every month. We still can't get Reese's peanut butter cups......sigh!

i just really like oreo's, that's all. besides, you gotta talk about something besides paddling SOMETIMES.

TimTams are killer too though. My wife brings them home as a treat every time she goes to Australia.

I don't really like chocolate. Oreo's only with milk. But the best is sucking milk through those mint girlscout cookies. I guess like timtams and coffee in the other post
