Old debate - finally settled...

Hurricanes are the best canoes ever. Period. If you own one, you are cool - if you paddle it frequently, you are even cooler. They are the nicest colors, and have the awesomest rudders. When my buns sit in the seat they feel as if they are being massaged by twelve beautiful women. It goes REALLY fast in the flats. In fact, I was out in some flats the other day, and halfway through practice I realized I had forgotten my paddle. But I was still kicking everyone else's asses. Imagine if I had REMEMBERED my paddle! It is also super-spectacular in the surf. I was out on the lake the other day in like 8-14 foot waves (ground swells from a storm in the northern Atlantic) and I caught EVERY wave out there... I didn't even miss one. I know many of you will say that "it's the motor, not the boat". Well you people are retards. OC-1s don't even have motors. Go join the crew team or something like that, where they DO have motors. Okay, that's it. If you are looking for a new boat, get a Hurricane. I think it's obvious that it will rock your socks. Hope this helps!

Lovingly, A to tha motha-F'n G!

PS - for those of you who think it matters, I weigh 427 oz., I am 7.3 metres tall, and my favorite food is Twizzlers. I mostly paddle in Lake Washington, but have been known to frequent the waters of Lake Sammamish when I am especially drunk (and naked!)

PPS - when I said "buns", I meant "ass".

You raise an interesting question Goto.... What kind of PADDLE are you using? Obviously paddles make a person go fastest. Not the boat, or the motor, or the person, as we all so foolishly seem to believe. Why else would the sport be called paddling? It's not canoeing, motoring, or peopling. C'mon now folks. Let's get realistic. What is the best PADDLE out there?

To answer your question as to what is the best paddle jc9_0, let me refer you to a previous thread: http://www.ocpaddler.com/node/1078

My Mommy says the best paddle is the one having the most fun! Today that would be the one that's smacking Goto's curvaceous little bottom in basement somewhere on Capitol Hill!!
