haha, 6 months, took year for my first one...upon delivery ordered for following years batch...in different length...if you cant wait on one of them, Maui Kjeldsen makes nice light paddles that are legal in hawaii that people have been using this season, or a few friends used them and enjoyed them...

Thanks for the feedback. If I'm not able to get my hands on or at least try one (Makana Alii) I might look into a Kia Kaha. I think they stock them at Island Paddler.

How do you get a makana alii paddle?
i really want one. how much does it cost too?

I think its about $240 right now. Ask around at OHCRA regatta for contact number to get one.

Personally, mine is special because it was hand made here in Hawaii by Leighton Look.
