My girlfriend recently came into contact with an executive at NBC sports. She was telling him about the Molokai solo and he was interested in learning more about it. Basically, he let her give him a 30 second pitch on why NBC should cover it. What would you say?

I would say that is a great idea, NBC would be my favorite channel if they would cover some oc paddling... Or any tv station that would view some paddling. OC 16 are covering some paddling, but I think paddling is big enough to have it's own station.... What you think?

Hey, lets be realistic. A hundred paddlers spread out over a couple of hours in the channel isn't exactly exciting viewing. I love to paddle, but I don't know if I would want to watch it. Maybe a short, snappily edited highlights version. Not all sports translate well to TV. So turn off the idiot box and go paddle.
