Hamilton Island Regatta Australia OC1 Results

News from the Hamilton Island regatta in Australia - Kai Bartlett won the 16km OC1 race convincingly followed by Karel, then Greg Long of Australia in third. The race was 8km into 20 knots of wind then surfing back with it to the finish.

Also trying to track down Alfred VG just to say a big thanks for your hospitality on Molokai. My wife and I really appreciated it. If you ever come down under drop me a line. By the way, that solo race was a killer!

Regards

Adrian Hybner

A team called Northcliffe beat NZ/Hi in the 16 km marathon on Fri. by 30 seconds or so. Sorry, I'm too much of a rookie to put the website up. Just use the "Google" for Powerade Hamilton cup Australia.

Go Rambo Go!

Rambo this is your year at Hamilton-Remember all of the good things OCPaddler and your blogs have taught you.

1) The better the camera, the better the paddler.
2) Camouflage and bullet holes make you faster on the water.
3) And FINALLY use the Goolie sauce now.

"“Vegemite” not Cytomax and you coat your goolies in it for maximum absorbtion"

Don't what for the last day or final dance! Do it now for maximum absorption and speed! In fact I would coat the entire canoe with vegemite, Vick's Vapor Rub, and Atomic Tiger Balm. It might work.

Aloha and good luck

In the 42km mens changes race: Team Tiger wins , Hawaii/NZ get 2nd , Northcliffe have wheels fall off in the last 2k and get 3rd. Northern Beaches of Sydney come 4th.

Kona J, you have failed me mate. I followed your wise instructions above and could only manage a 4th, 5th and 7th. What's more my Goolies have shrunk and i'm stuck with a $3000 camera i can't sell.

Desparately need more advice.

Rambo (in pain)
