I know there are some experts on this. I am looking to maybe purchase one of those gps/heartrate/ personel training things?@#!@ Not sure what works and what doesn't. Anykind of information whould be greatly apperciated before I spend the $$$$$$$.......Mahalo's

I get a Garmin edge 305 that is recomended for bike use, but I use it on OC-1 and OC-2. It gives you your training records like total time, total distance, average speed, etc.
It´s nice because you can import data to a computer and compare your practice.
I think "you can not get better without measure" is true.

I use a garmin 301 and it seems to be the most poplular I have seen out on the water .It has similar features to the 305 inc the heartrate and it's easier to mount on your oc1 and not as bulky a the newer 305 .You can also get a 201 but it does not have the heart rate moniter
