Heart rate monitor & GPS units.

Hi all,
Just thought I'd see if anybody has any new advice or thoughts on the combo heart rate monitor/GPS units? Which are best for Macs?
Thanks, Frogdog

I have found that with a mac, the combination of a Garmin GPS and the motionbased.com software works really well. I also think that Garmin has purchased motionbased.com so they work even better together. I can't give advice for a particular GPS, I have the Edge 305 that I use for my bike and I love that one. As for paddling I am not sure which one works the best.

Thanks Nevslin,

I'm thinking about the Garmin Forerunner 305. I'm glad to hear it works well with a Mac. I had read in earlier reviews, 2006, that it didn't really support Macs but they were working on the software.

Kia ora bro,

I've got the Garmin forerunner 305 and a Mac too. They both work fine together, yes you are correct in early 2006 they were developing the software to interconnect for Mac users but as far as i'm concerned there's no issue here.

Sign up to motion base and you will be able to upload all you're training/race data which is very handy if you are monitoring speed, heart rate, etc.
