Guam 2004 Marianas OC1 Race Schedule

2004 Race Schedule; All dates and races are subject to
weather and swell conditions. Race fees, etc will be announced later.

January 10, 2004; PRE SEASON SPECIAL. Regatta style sprint races in
Umatac Bay. Approx 1500 meter course, paddled twice. Total time for
placing. $5.00 entry fee.

January 24, 2004; GKCF SPRINT CHAMPIONSHIPS; Tumon Bay. 500 and 1000
meter courses, in lanes.

February 14 2004; VALENTINES DAY; COUPLES RELAY; Umatac to Agat and
back. One paddler each leg. Special award to fastest mixed team (no
gender verification, we'll take your word for it).

February 28 2004; INARAJAN TO AGAT RELAY; 4 legs, each paddler goes 2x.

March 13, 2004; TUMON TO BOAST BASIN RELAY (with a Tanguisson loop
thrown in); 2 legs, each paddler goes 1x.

March 27, 2004; GKCF MAKTINGAN RELAY CHAMPIONSHIP; Tumon to Agat, 5 or 6
legs depending on access to Family Beach.

April 10, 2004; MERIZO LAGOON SOLO CHALLENGE; Short course inside Merizo
Lagoon (approx 4 miles). Long Course around Cocos Island.

April 24, 2004; THE ORIGINAL SOLO; Pago Bay to Talofofo.

May 8, 2004; GKCF SOLO DISTANCE CHAMPIONSHIP; THE BEST OF THE WEST;
Talofofo to Merizo Pier.

May 22, 2004; CHOOSE YOUR WEAPON RACE; 12 mile triangle course starting
and finishing from Hagatna Boat Basin; Divisions for OC1, OC2, kayak,
surfski, OC6, paddleboard, sailboard and open (anything that floats!).
Team championship to the crew that has at least 3 entries of any type
and finishes the highest.

Registration forms, entry fees, prizes etc will be available shortly.
There will be significant discounts for those paddlers that register for
all events; and a season ending Male and Female Champion for the whole
shebang (sprints, relays, solo) with an unbelievable award!!
