Tahiti (Shell) should have 5 escort boats around them, all getting in the way and creating havoc for other competitors. If the officials are "awake", they should put an official on the Shell escort, and have them w/ only 3 reliefs plus 1 helper. Other auxilary boats must stay back and out of the way. That could be done w/ other "leaders(predicted).
Now boys: we all love Tahiti, but really...They've got big $$ on these races. When their upstart cousins from Hawai'i show up in Tahiti, they'll (tahitians) be warm and fuzzy(to the hawaiians) until you get a little too close to taking something from them that makes them heroes/superstars. Winning means EVERYTHING to them. It meant alot to Marion Jones...All I ask is clean, fair,up & up racing. When the smoke clears, and the winners have stepped up to the podium, all the drama will fade...and it will start again next year...Honor should mean something to everyone involved.

I'm just say'n
