Did you see the photo of the Outrigger masters communicating w/ hand signals? I'd like to hear the story behind that one.

96744stroker - I don't know off any video footage. I think that oc16 television will be showing the molokai footage. I hope to find out if that is true. Maybe someone will post it.
I'm glad that everyone is enjoying the photos.
I was wondering when someone would notice that photo of the Outriggers master crew. That was a photo taken at the right moment. The photographer didn't even notice it. There is definitely a story behind that photo. Look at the couple of pictures after that one.
Maybe someone can elaborate more on the inside scoops.

Thanks for the support. Watching the teams come into the finish was truly amazing and worth the stay in O'ahu.
Aloha....

Maybe it was " how dare you pass us at the end of the race in our own water like that". Nah, nah, nah-that last buoy has been the scene of many such confrontations.

Great photos. I like 96744stroker's the best, should have kept that animal from Molokai inside. I think his name is Bojo.
save la'au point.

Here is the answer to the puzzle-
This team gave the number #1 sign and got the number #3 sign in return.
A little arrogant considering that they are about 40 minutes out of number 1, but not really a big deal and I doubt the steersman had any brain-cells left after a long race.
