since stabilizing the core is also fundamental in paddling, i'm curious if any programs have incorporated any breathing technique in their training. same concept in martial arts, and even lamaze, i'm guessing. i guess if it works for women in labor, it should work for a workout...

lamaze is actually counterproductive to child birth. Bradley's (sic) method is considered superior since it replicates animal behavior which calls for quiet breathing rather then huffing and puffing. That is not to take away from your point about exercise breathing.

as a professional athlete your trained on breathing ...in training camp when i played hockey we did so many exercises around breathing very important issue for endurance.
