world sprint trials

Couldn't make it. Anyone know results or where it's posted. By the way how did it go? Hope everything went well!

Howzit Kea
I heard, thru the grapevine, that Manny was the fastest OC1 and that Alfred VG was part of the top 4 to qualify. But that is all that I heard so far. There was a thread on here about how messed up the trials were but it got yanked. Apparently the day was highly unorganized and rules changed by the hour by the officials. Too bad you couldn't make it down to try-out...
Hopefully the officials will have an "official" posting of the qualifying teams and OC1s...men and women!

I think that's a terrific idea to post qualifiying v1 and v6 teams. The world sprints is a prestigous event which is an important part of the paddling community and would be nice to know who qualified to represent the state of hawaii. Anyone know how to get results???

Hey Keizo
Sorry. Didn't mean to say you yanked that thread. I was looking forward to that discussion on the Hawai'i World Sprints qualifier.

Maybe he was using a kayak paddle.

#11 Wed, 11/14/2007 - 3:33pm

i think his finals time for the v1 jr 19 is the more accurate one. big difference from 1:37 to 2:03 dont you think?

#12 Wed, 11/14/2007 - 4:16pm

was it quarter mile or 500 meters?

#13 Wed, 11/14/2007 - 4:59pm

yah, noticed the 2:03 on final time. Had to be a screw up.

Yes, my bad ..500 meters

#14 Wed, 11/14/2007 - 5:39pm

before my final someone came up to me and said i had that time, i knew immediately i could not have a time like that because olympic kayak times are close to that for 500 meter. Although i felt like george cronstead for a moment i was pleased enough with my real time and qualifying for sacamento
