OC 1 parts

Does anyone know where new OC1 drain plugs and metal iako spring clips can be bought on Kauai?

If I have to order them from another island, that would be fine. But, I'm the type of person that needs instant gratification and would rather drive some where to buy them, than wait several days to get them in the mail.

Tom Bartlett has them, 6520406

I'm sure Maui Kjeldsen in Puhi has them as well.

I have to drive the whole way to Maui's place in Puhi?

That's kind of out of my way and I don't have the spare 5 minutes it would take to walk there from my house.

Do you think he would deliver them to me?

See, if I go over there I'll drool over the OC1's he makes and probaly order ANOTHER paddle from him.

I can imagine the conversation with my wife after I get home from Maui's:

Her: Where's the new plugs and clips?

Me: They're on order and should be here in a few months.

Her: How much did they cost?

Me: They were free.

Her: Really?

Me: Yeah, they come free with the boat.

Her: $*&#@((#$**#@!@#$)_)_*

I got lucky today and located a source for the spring clips for the older metal tube style iakos on Kauai.

Tanaka's hardware store in Lihue has them for $1.49. Tanaka's is located West off Rice Street on Kalena Street.

The clips are on the bottom shelf back in a corner. Just ask one of the employees.

As for the rubber drain plugs, I bought them from Home Depot and used a drill to bore the hole.
