mulus, i think you just found out how far people are willing to go to be helpful in this sport. No one wants to give away those training secrets that help them finish in the middle of the pack.

.Thanks guys
I found the perfect one on the [ surfski.info ] web site by Oscar Chalupsky on training. it seems a bit much for us, maybe ill take a 1/4 or 1/3 off. but it looks straight forward and easy to understand. Our idea of training is three nights a week 4 klm the first week and add a klm every week till we get to 10 and stay there but we race each other I think that helps. And push a little weights. any ideas of a well rounded diet outline?

Merry Christmas

Eat what's in season and available local and listen to your body talk. All natural, no man made crap.

Three times 10 km/week seems at the lower end of intensity imo;
that is just three hours on the water
It depends what you are training for though and what your competition is doing.

It would be more efficient to put in longer sessions in the beginning, and rather shorten the training sessions with increasing intensity over time.
With the training you set a stimulus, but the physical effect of the training happens right afterwards; therefore it is better imo to train relative shorter sessions, more intensly and more frequently. With shorter I mean about 1 hour.

Rambo has a section where you can dl Barton's mold; he gives an account of his training.

Oscar trains two or three times a day according to his posts.

It's on Rambo's website.

It was on Rambo's web site, Greg asked me to take it down as only three download sites were approved for hosting it. I thought he may have been happy with the free publicity, but seems not.
He also killed it on other sites as well.
You can get it here ..

A) the ICF site,
B) the Epic site at http://www.epickayaks.com/content/?nid=1506 C) Davey Hearn's site www.daveyhearn.com (not complete though)

Cheers Rambo
