Yes the air temp was in the 30's. Both windward legs had some serious windchill but the downwind leg was much warmer. I didn't want to test out the water temp so I played it safe during the downwind section where the waves were larger than I am used to. I am still a newbie, and I have a ton to learn, but, damn it's fun!

Hi Tikimon,

I was behind you the entire race. Before the first turn I pulled up along side and you said you couldn't wait for the down wind. You really pulled away from me in the down wind section as I am new too and I really struggled with the wind waves and was pushed very far from the 3rd turn.

I remember you. No sleeves, weren't you cold?
Good to hear from you, how long have you been paddling? I have been paddling for 3 months and it shows in my race performance. I am a conditioned athlete, running, daily workouts, etc., but paddling provides a whole new challenge.

I was fine till the last turn and maters were worse. and was cold for the rest of the day. but had fun in the down wind. but finished 27th but still won a camera. and would do it again. we just missed the snow.
