Who are the top ten bloggers?

With all the speculation about which is the best canoe, who is the best paddler, who is the best coach, etc. it came to me that there is a real competition on this site and we can really find out who is the best. As of today the top ten bloggers are as follows:

Jc9 448
Jim 436
PooPoo 305
Rambo 259
Mulus 191
KDkoors 189
Snarfblat 183
Fuzerider 179
Eckhart 156
Pittbrah 119

Since this is the beginning of 2008, who does everyone think will be the top blogger by
Dec. 31, 2008?

TC., I know you're not talking down to the entire oc.paddler nation. I have plenty respect for you, but a total club jumper like yourself who has even steered foreigners for victories should not question the character of anyone you just named, even in jest. You've won alot of channels, but so what-you have no loyalty to anything, anyways. Everyone knows you're the man, but you gain nothing in terms of your legacy by disrespecting the people who like to talk paddling on this site. I'll take Rambo or jc9 on my team any day, son-and guess what, I know exactly what I'm talking about. Love, James Clapp

Am I excluded? I'll be impressed the day someone passes my post count. :)

#3 Sun, 02/03/2008 - 9:48pm

Just like my races... I'm a mid-packer.

#4 Sun, 02/03/2008 - 10:10pm

Whoa whoa jim. Easy there man. Hehe

This is uncharted territory for me. I'm never that far up in the pack..

Tommy, if you made a list of most ignored posts, I'd definitely win that one.

The biggest thing I've learned here is how much time I have wasted blogging here. Honestly, I can't recall even remotely making that many posts. There's just no way....

#5 Sun, 02/03/2008 - 10:34pm

I'm ashamed of myself ... i have 2502 posts on the Aussie forum www.ausoutrigger.com

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Just think, if only i spent that much time on the canoe ????

Cheers Rambo

Were not gonna start a rag topic. I love it when we talk canoe constructively. At least we are being noticed and in some way that’s a complement. And that 195 now.

And Tommy amazing insight as always.

To make this a fair and true comparison, you'd have to look at the average numer of posts per day. That way you get some kind of time weighted number for the posting. It is no way fair to say that I am the superior blogger, especially since I have been a registered user longer than most everyone on that list. Also time of registration cannot be considered a criterion for excellence in the bloggingest rankings. Especially when you consider some members from the beginning like Luke and Kelly, they're just useless. I think if you do some research, there are far better bloggers out here.

However, I humbly accept your praise Mr Tom Conners. Especially since this is the only time I have, and ever will lead you in any category, except maybe excuses not to train. I think I have you beat there too. Also please remember to factor in the issue of me being in prison for 6 months in 2006, otherwise my total would have been very much higher.

So what does this all boil down to? I'm just happy to get the word LAOTION on the internet as much as possible. Take that to mean what you will, but I love Lotion and its fairer cousin Laotian, and I don't care what anyone says.

#15 Mon, 02/04/2008 - 10:08am

way to go jc - kick a** forearms AND a sense of humor, i vote for you - some may beat you in quantity but you're spelling is sublime

#16 Mon, 02/04/2008 - 8:03am

tommy i agree with u
but u know what would be even better?
get these guys real names and track their results and compare to the essays written here

Boyz...boyz....boyz, and you too Veronica. See there really is more to paddling canoes than blood glucose, lactate levels, and anaerobic threshholds. Paddling is for entertainment and a good excuse to drink more beer (Kekoa).
Final rankings will come out later in the year but for now the clubhouse leader is Jc9. He is the leader in most categories including: Volume of posts. Sentence structure. Punctuation.
Spelling. Self-deprecating humor.
He is followed closely by Jim who is hindered by leading in only one sub-category.
Special recognition goes out to Eckhart for his fine treatment of excessive beer consumption.

Sorry Gang! I think I was smartin' from that Pats loss when I wrote that. I guess the cool thing is that people like TC drop in from time to time. Now let's get back to the no life-havin', barely even really paddle banter that we all know and love. jc9, I am gaining steadily on you...

#19 Mon, 02/04/2008 - 9:17am

Poops is leading in self-defecating humor.

#20 Mon, 02/04/2008 - 9:47am

Keizo is the leader here not jc9.

#21 Mon, 02/04/2008 - 9:52am

Whoops, edited my post and it ended up back at the beginning. As far as my real name, it's in my profile. Smart thing to do? Prolly not, but I figure if someone wants to kick my ass I want them to able to find me. I'd hate for the wrong person to get their ass kicked for something I typed. Besides, I'm not really sure it's much of a secret who I am since most everyone I talk to gives me sh!t for what I post.

Plus I do love the run on sentences and commas soooo much.

#22 Mon, 02/04/2008 - 10:14am

I defiantly concede in spelling, punctuation, sentence structure - I wonder why you guys are so much better at it.

#23 Mon, 02/04/2008 - 10:48am

I nominate TC to steer the first ocpaddler.com all-star team in this year's Hoe. jc9 will be first alternate and I will provide a steady stream of inflammatory remarks shouted via megaphone from the escort boat.

#24 Mon, 02/04/2008 - 10:54am

Mulus should be King ... he has 198 posts in less than 3 months of joining, he should be first to pick his seat in the Bloggercanoe Team as reward.

Tommy, we've all past the point of no return ... we are addicted. We can't walk past the PC without logging in .... Serial Posters i think is the term. I finally figured out why outrigger canoeing growth has waned, it's Keizo's fault, he created this addictive monster and it's sucking our on water time.

Is there somewhere we can go for help? Bloggers Anonymous maybe. ... Isn't that the first step, admitting we have a problem.

Cheers Rambo

AMENDED TOP TEN RANKINGS.

Due to a calculation error by my CPA there were some mistakes in the top ten rankings. Moving into 5th place overall is GOTO with 205 posts. That moves Eckhart to the number 10 position with 156. Eckhart is in the most vulnerable position but still has a comfortable lead over NB1376 at 124, Pittbrah at 119, and Painteur at 116.
In fairness to Eckhart he should get some props for total number of words in his rambling dissertations. If he could manage to break it down into shorter posts he could easily move into the top 5.

#26 Mon, 02/04/2008 - 1:34pm

A few hundred more posts and you'll be right in it, TC...

I thought and thought and thought of something witty to say but I can't think of anything good to add to this thread. So poop on my.

should have seen that coming haha

#42 Mon, 02/04/2008 - 6:26pm

o and on another forum that i joined recently (to get presale tickets to a concert) there are people who have almost 40,000 posts. I want to know what they do for a living and then go do that, if they have enough time to post a few hundred times a day then surely i would have time to paddle if i had that job

#43 Mon, 02/04/2008 - 6:29pm

OK OK. Since I started it and we all (mostly all) had a few chuckles, I think it is time to move on to a new subject. Everyone put on your thinking caps and don't forget to put the bullseye on your chest. NO CASH PRIZES.

#44 Mon, 02/04/2008 - 6:57pm

I say we make it controversial, most posts and paddles a hypr boat that has at least 16 chines??

#45 Mon, 02/04/2008 - 7:37pm

TC, how can you start a thread of such a nature and then expect everyone to stop blogging when you say enough? Come on!

You gotta work on those mere 10 posts you got going

#46 Tue, 02/05/2008 - 8:34am
