Wow! They definitely accomplished one of the goals they set out to do... "design a boat unlike any he has already already built"
Very interesting looking.

Hows that seat? unreal. I guess the puka in the seat give room for the sciatic? And the foam near the gunnels must give more ama control.
Innovative sh*t right there...way to go boyz.

This boat has simliar lines to Outrigger Connections Fuze Fusion and Zephyr.
Ma Afi has sharper chines and a flatter bottom. It was used last weekend at Keokea.
I am interested in hearing feedback from the guys who have had the chance to demo the boat.

I saw a Ma'a Afi at the PA'A Molo Solo, not sure who the rider was. Any word on how it rides.

The 'ama lines look pretty cool but the pictures were so small, kinda hard to tell - maybe can post pictures like the size of the color chart when you click on it?

That seat looks great for me cuz I get sciatica and it bothers me out on the water sometimes.

Nick who is a very strong paddler paddled the canoe in the Paa two day race. Did very well in the sprints. Didn't do well in the ocean. Might be a great Kona canoe - great flat water boat. It will be interesting to see how it does for other paddlers in both flat and surf conditions. For sure, one weekend race is hard to judge a canoe from. Great to see the innovative design. Looks like a Tahitian canoe. Cool!
