I read in a previous post that you shouldn't wax your paddle. It has really good grip that way. If not, what should you do?

If you need a bit more grip, a swipe or two of wax is great and will last for a day or two. I'd keep away from layering it on like on a surfboard. A little bit goes a long way, sort of like JC9's lotion.

rough up the shaft with 600 wetdry sandpaper. never need wax again and in a change race you will not piss off half the crew

New paddles still have curing wax on them sometimes. I usually wait it out, and the slippery felling goes away if thats it. Windex gets rid of wax.
