False Starts

How come so many races in Hawaii get going before anyone says go?

Geeze, at LuLus` race 4 a couple of weeks ago Jim Foti gave crystal clear instructions regarding the starting plans and as soon as everyone got on the water , the plan was discarded by everyone.

Some paddlers werent even on the water yet when the race took off all on its own.

I know who. I was being facetious. If fellow competitors wont show respect to a Jim Foti theres no respect left.

Nah-you know how it is, everyone's just competitive out there. I'm sure no one meant disrespect to Jim. It would be nice to have more orderly starts, though. It would have to involve some type of suspension/punishment I think.

maybe its the nature of competition. Just try to make the best of the situation. Have fun.
In the Olympics. e.g. the 100 yard sprinters false start. they are within 100th of a second. very tense situation. two and your out. maybe there will be future Olympic oc races

BTW, I noticed Mr. and Mrs. Fuzerider totally kicked ass in that race. Nice work!
