Please let me know criteria for Team Rider. I might be one and not know it.
Also Fuze since I know you strive for accuracy in all things, let's say "East Coast Outrigger Connection Team Riders"
#4 Sun, 04/13/2008 - 1:16pm
For all I know Kona J, you might be Sheila Kuyper , this annonymous poster blog site can be pretty confusing , one never knows who they`re communicating with around here.
And if you
re not Sheila , maybe you
re Randy and if so , you `re already a team rider.http://maineoutriggerchampionships.blogspot.com/

The Outrigger Connection team riders are connected through an international agreement which enables them to travel anywhere in the world to race and have a boat waiting for them at the venue. It`s a very convenient set up. OC dealers are supportive of the team riders are always happy to provide boats if they are available.
It`s just good manners to be supportive and helpful and it makes traveling to distant races easy.
The team riders are out to compete , promote , encourage , educate, and be of help and service to the paddling community.

Fuze,
Hey, you can't claim East Coast status with no team riders in Florida. To get you out of your bind I'm offering to become a team rider and will even pay for shipment of a new Zephyr which I will dutifully paddle 5 days a week as well as in any and all OC competitions within 500 miles of West Palm Beach.
Besides, almost everyone (including me) are paddling Hurricane or Kai Wa'a boats with a couple of Hukis here and there. You need some representation down here!

Goto,
You're far too kind with your effusive description of my abilities. I'm not actually a Ninja, I just play one on TV. Now the wave in Florida...that is real. Rare, but real.
For your benefit I went ahead and changed my avatar now that I have a photo of myself actually paddling.
I hope you feel better now.

fuzerider, I question your recruitment abilities. You just missed out on several very good paddlers...

Please send me your shipping address.

Waitaminute...
Is that all it takes?
fuzerider, please also send me a free new Zephyr. I promise I will sell it to someone who's a good paddler. Any color is fine, but please, no Canadian flags.
#14 Mon, 04/14/2008 - 1:04pm
my new Kaimanu ( which I picked up from Goto this weekend) now has a Canadian flag on the ama..
did I mention I have a sticker obsession?
#15 Mon, 04/14/2008 - 1:14pm
Interesting:
"The Outrigger Connection team riders are connected through an international agreement which enables them to travel anywhere in the world to race and have a boat waiting for them at the venue"
you might want to actually check with the other international OC dealers so that
(a) they have a copy of this "ïnternational agreement" you are referring to, and
(b) they are actually able to have boats waiting for you and your mates!
#16 Mon, 04/14/2008 - 1:32pm
Yeah so you mean if I were a team rider and I travel to afghanistan to race then I'd have a boat waiting for me? Man, that's a damn good international agreement. Impressive!

Seeing as how we've completely hijacked this thread with all things Canadian, you forgot:
Stompin' Tom
Bob and Doug Mackenzie
And Ross, a true proud Canadian doesn't just get the sticker, they get the Maple Leaf tattoo, even if it is a little crooked.

yeshh - more Canadian content than the CBC !
Yea I think we need some team riders here in the Cold North with stickers too - So I nominate me, kahuna , Open Ocean and mulus. There - send us boats ! After all since being of "help and service to the paddling community" is a criteria we are definetely team rider quality, and well chined !

Kanu The Rock
Can you please also send a canoe out to Newfoundland? I need more canoes here since I have natural chines growing on the bottom of my canoes from the icy waters here. I think its a natural icicle chine phenomenon unique to Newfoundland. It happens faster than I can get the canoes back onto dry rocks to thaw. I need some backup canoes while my canoes thaw.
Thank you for understanding

Do Canadian team riders have to live in Canada, or can we have migrated to sunny Arizona?
#32 Tue, 04/15/2008 - 12:42pm
1) Bob and Doug MacKenzie - thank you Canada. Every other person on that list can suck it.
2) For the record fuzerider, I was the second one to ask for a free boat, so it's only fair that I get one right after Raphael.
3) I love Canada
4) Canada has good beer, and hot strippers (peelers).
5) I also love pizza. It's delicious.
