Moolooaba Masters at Gold Coast Cup 2008 - The Movie

This was a challenge, to film and paddle in a 9 man change over race and focus 100% on the paddling. I shot all the footage myself and I'm rapt in the fact that i gave all for my crew and still managed to capture great shots. I had 3 hours of footage to edit, and this is condensed down too 11 minutes. Apologize for leaving out some of the results as that was all i had confirmed.

Do yourself a favor and download the HQ version and have a permanent copy on your PC. (93meg)

Yeah thanks, Mariano. I really like the way these videos show the paddlers view of racing. Outrigger canoeing can be exciting and i would love the opportunity to hook up and film the top crews in the Molokai Hoe. I think i have problem solved most of the difficulties in capturing good footage via POV and looking to upgrade the Cams to some of the more professional equipment and move into the HD arena. People are definitely watching them, the Extreme Moffat Run video had over 2000 hits last count. Small by You Tube standards but OC is a small market but i'm sure quality footage could be enjoyed by the general public as well.

eh rambo, if you can hook it up, to go and film top 3 in Molokai Hoe would be the ultimate goal as a serious filmaker....for sure, specially if you get a channel with solid 6 to 8 foot swells and 20 plus miles an hour trades, picture that?

i will be the first buying the DVD, hopefully you can acomplish such a great goal, i know its a lot of work, time and money, but i like a phrase of yours in an earlier post ...
what sense on dying if we allready in heaven!!!!

ok rambo till next one mahalo nui for your work, here in Argentina is greatly apreciated!!

Showed the movie to my wife...now she understands what "paddling" is (at least the paddling part).

Mahalo-Rambo

So what are your paddling plans this year? Are you heading to Molokai? or just local?

How many more races battling with Team Zylo?

Also I imagine your video is also a great training tool for your team-mates and yourself in terms of looking at technique and changes ;)

Definitely the changes need working on eh? The camera don't lie. Couple of the extra guys had not done a lot of changeover practice before, something we all need to work on.

Molokai ?? .. All options are open at the moment, nothing planned.

Hamo is the next change over race and usually where Molokai plans are discussed, so who knows.
