I remember a show on Discovery or National Geographic about that. The footage was horrific of fishermen reeling in miles of drag net loaded with sharks and they cut of all the sharks fins and just throw the body of the shark back into the water. That cycle running nonstop for hours. That's SICK. Don't order shark fin soup from any restaurant.

Nice to see you still got all your fins fuzerider. Watch out for them nets.

Damned Chinese ,first we had to come up with viagra to save some endagerd species being killed for use in their traditional medicine ,because of their potence problems ,but its hard for me to imagine what you can invent to prevent exotic food use .

Any you know there is more ,killing whales by the Japanese and Co under excuse of research ,and at the same time they don't even need the meat as it is not tastefull and they have huge stocks that they already can't use and which frequently ends as animal food, just to keep some stupid whaling tradition, the same goes for Icelandic and Norvegian whaling which is even subsidised

I think that most of this wanabe macho traditions come from the impotency frustrations.
