My comments on this thread-
1) The petition could come out 500 to 1 to get rid of the avatar and it doesn’t matter, because the owner/developer of the site can do whatever he wants. It is not a democracy. In fact if Keizo did what the posters wanted, there would be no telling what this site would look like. I trust his (Keizo’s) opinion over even my own. He has been spot on with the other editorial decisions he has had to make in the past
2) I find an avatar advertising your company more offensive.
3) You might want to eliminate OcPaddler from your internet browser and history, because you do have a choice of visiting this site and being offended or not.
4) There are many more things to get mad up about than an avatar-picture. In fact I had forgotten about it until you brought it up again. So you might even be bringing more attention to something you hate

Mr. BoatAid, I’m pretty sure if you just read the words in the threads and simply avert your eyes from the avatar, you can enjoy the forum without offending your obviously delicate ocular sensibilities. Or, if you squint at it hard enough, you can enjoy the artistic contrast of light and shadow in the composition without actually having to register what the subject happens to be. Also, remember that negative attention is still attention (and thus better than no attention)… This is pretty basic child psychology.

If the silent majority doesn’t speak then how do we know it even exists? Then surely they are not the loudest.
If it does exist (the silent majority) and they don’t say anything then how do we know their vote?
Then as goto said you must be a psycho/psychic which in my mind are the same thing anyway, so no difference.

Are you interested in how people feel about the avatar or about the hijacking? Are you even completely sure the threads in question were indeed interesting? Perhaps the hijacking is what made them interesting. Did you just hijack your own thread by introducing thread hijacking?

paddlelikeagirl, I’m glad you were able to see the post in the other topic that started this thread. It was quite disappointing that people have no moral thread and would behave in such a manner.
Surprisingly I am not saddened. This situation has proved 2 things to my loving soul:
1. Confirmed the character of the other individual involved
2. Shows that the individual involved is just in need of more love because it is clear he is not receiving enough of it elsewhere! He needs our love and support! hug him everyone! 247365 will agree! WE LOVE YOU! ITS NOT YOUR FAULT! ITS NOT YOUR FAULT!

Let me vote with my pocket book on this one. Having heard good things about his craftmanship I recently private messaged Mr BOATAID to inquire about a complete over-haul of my 4 year-old Kaimana. I was, and still am ready to plunk down $500 to $ 1000 to get her back into pristine shape, now that Kaimanas are going to be collector items.
After hearing the personal jibes against poopoopaddler on this forum from boataid I have no other choice but declare solidarity with Poops.
I hereby look for another qualified canoe repair person here in Southern California to take care of my baby.

I guess my pocket book just said no.

Im all for humor………when its funny. Poops seems like a good guy and Im sure he is, but he crys foul at being jabbed but sabotages just about every thread here for his own amusement.

(take your pick, since poops done plenty of hijacking, and you’ve done plenty of promoting…) did you go behind the shop practicing your kungfu til the day of retribution? was this that day? what was the final straw?
thread hijacking would’ve been a better angle for you- trying to inspire outrage for a picture is pretty petty… but then again, it was tried before, with little success… that’s why there’s a scroll button.
