At Epic's Surfski championship race Sunday, the MC announced the "race for the reef" on the following Sunday (May 25th) with OC-1/2, surfski, paddleboard, etc. divisions. Googled it and found this;

I know nothing about the International Year of the Reef beyond their website, but this sounds like it could be a good cause and an excellent excuse for a run. Anyone have a heads up on this? Planning on going?

I was going to race for the reef, but there's a Hui Wa'a regatta that I must attend.
Wait- this may be a mis-catagorized post...
Anyhow- I saw the poster attached to the little pine tree at Hawaii Kai, along with another race poster for OC's & SUPs on june 7 for Malama Maunalua.
