Aloha paddlers
The second episode of "Ocean Paddler TV" started last night and will run all month. Please check it out on OC-16. The segments this month have the one man Molokai solo and the Kauai world challenge. GREAT footage by Alex and the film team. I think you all will agree Alex has done a wonderful job.

i did the saling canoe series in 2000 with Sally Pots from Kawaii and in 2001 with Mike Kincaids "KAHIAU", i live in Argentina now and i would love to see saling canoes in your show, the more the marrier...........
another thing, when we are gonna be able to watch it through internet???

I do remember you! We just had our second race of the season, it was fun as there was alot of wind. Kahiau is now a family canoe and out of the series, as a matter of fact, she is rigged and sitting in the water in my back yard! Uncle Mike has a new canoe and is still having fun.
Ocean Paddler TV is about all disiplines of paddling not just the sailing canoe. Alex has done a wonderful job, as has all the staff of Ocean Paddler TV. We are working hard to make a show for everyone. Alex has hand picked the best in the business to make sure we are a success. His work of course is amazing!
The web-site should be up and running in a few weeks, Like Hawaiian xtreme sports you will be able to watch the show from most computers. I will post something when they have it going.

uhhhhhhh so many good memories!!!!
Keokea to Hana....Hana to Kahului.... but the one i enjoied the most was Haleiwa to Nawiliwili......
i came back to my country in 2003, with my wife introduced Outrigger here, first with an oc-6, now we have 2 canoe clubs, 5oc-6 and half docen oc-1....the turn out is awesome!!!
but to introduce Hawaiian Saling Canoe i will need you guyz KOKUA!!!hahahha, i mean Tim Woods was telling me he was gonna help me out, but i know its not easy to make it down here.........eventually it will CLICK i know..
aloha nui and say hi to Alex, back then he hooked me up with great footage racing to Kawaii.
and of course say hi to Uncle Mike for me please, one time we blew canvas 3 miles from kahului.....hahha, we were surfing so good.....before you know....we had to get towed in!!!hahha good fun!

So much fun..If you need some help with specs to turn an oc-6 into a sailing canoe, let me know..nakoa can send you the specs. via email. It isnt that hard to do. We did the same thing for a group in Brazil, and they now have 2 sailing canoes. I think it is great what you all are doing to bring paddling to your part of the world! You left hawaii and took a piece of the culture to share and pass on..I love it!
